First Impressions & Overview

The moment we arrived, the vibe was instantly calming. There is something undeniably special about being surrounded by ancient trees and that crisp, clean mountain air. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff greeted us with a smile, making us feel right at home. It’s the kind of place that invites you to put your phone away and just breathe.

Location & Accessibility

The location is the hotel’s biggest superpower. It’s situated in a serene forest setting, offering total peace and quiet, yet it’s easily accessible from Blagoevgrad. Whether you want to take a slow walk through the woods or simply sit on a terrace and soak in the greenery, you’re perfectly positioned.

The Room

We stayed in a Deluxe Room, and we were genuinely impressed. The space was quite large, very comfortable, and – most importantly – spotlessly clean. The layout felt modern yet cozy, giving us plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the forest views from our window.

Food & Drink

The hotel takes great pride in its “home-cooked” concept, using local ingredients. Because they emphasize this so much, our expectations were quite high. While the quality of the ingredients is clear, we felt the menu was a bit limited. During our half-board stay (breakfast and dinner), the variety was a bit on the small side, even for traditional favorites like grilled meats. We also tried the à la carte menu, but it didn’t quite hit the mark for us in terms of flavor variety.

Travelinita Tip: The food is wholesome, but if you’re a real “foodie” looking for a wide variety of experimental or traditional dishes, the selection might feel a bit narrow.

Facilities & Amenities

The SPA center is easily one of the best we’ve visited. It features several types of saunas, a steam bath, and beautiful pools. Our favorite spot was the massive relaxation zone – it has a fireplace right in the middle, which creates the most incredible atmosphere for winding down. There is also a great kids’ corner for the little ones!

One small note: We were surprised that fresh water isn’t provided for free in the spa area. We’d love to see a hydration station added so guests don’t have to carry their own or buy bottles while trying to relax!

Stellar SPA: The relaxation area with the central fireplace is a total dream.
Room Quality: Spacious, cozy, and very high standards of hygiene.
Generous Parking: Plenty of space for your car, and it’s completely free.
Room for improvement
Menu Variety: The "home-cooked" selection is a bit limited; we’d love to see more options and traditional grill items.
Spa Hydration: You'll want to bring your own water to the spa, as it isn't provided for free.
Our verdict
Spa Hotel Orbita is a sanctuary for anyone who needs to escape the city and reconnect with nature. While the dining experience has room to grow, the combination of the incredible spa, the clean air, and the beautiful rooms makes it a top choice for a relaxing weekend getaway.
