Looking for a spot in Golden Sands where you can actually hear the waves instead of the party crowds? We recently spent some time at Riviera Beach, and if you’re after a quiet location with sand right at your doorstep, this might be your next getaway.

First Impressions & Overview
When we first arrived, the vibe was instantly relaxing. The hotel sits in a very calm area, far enough from the noise to feel like a true retreat, but close enough to the action that you don’t feel isolated. While the check-in process was a bit of a “learn as you go” experience – the younger staff at the desk are still finding their footing and often need to check with the manager – the overall atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back.

Location & Accessibility
The location is arguably the hotel’s strongest suit. We loved that it’s tucked away in a serene, quiet zone, yet only a 5-minute walk from the bustling center of Golden Sands. You get the best of both worlds: total tranquility at night and easy access to shops and entertainment during the day. Plus, having a private beach where umbrellas and loungers are included in the price is a massive win for any beach lover!
The Room
We stayed in a Double Sea View Room, and waking up to that view never gets old. The rooms are kept very clean by the housekeeping team, who do a great job. However, the interiors are a bit of a throwback and could definitely use some modern TLC. We noticed some wear and tear, like cracked bathroom tiles and a shower handle that didn’t quite want to stay in place. It’s comfortable and functional, but don’t expect ultra-modern high-tech luxury just yet.

Food & Drink
The dining situation is a bit of a mixed bag. The buffet food is tasty, though you’ll want to keep an eye on the clock as service follows a strict schedule.
- The Coffee Situation: To be honest, we struggled here! The coffee throughout the complex – especially in the dining hall – wasn’t to our taste. Since All-Inclusive drinks don’t start until 10:00 AM, we’d recommend bringing some 3-in-1 packets if you’re an early riser.
- The Bars: Drinks at the bars are generally good, though the All-Inclusive ends at 11:00 PM (so no late-night beers!).
- Hydration: There isn’t bottled water in the rooms, so we found ourselves doing “water runs” to the dispensers near the bars with our glasses – a little quirky, but it gets the job done!

Facilities & Amenities
The highlight here is definitely the private beach and the calm surroundings. While the main restaurant wasn’t operational during our stay (which makes it feel more like a solid 3-star or 4-star experience), the manager is very efficient and works hard to keep things running smoothly. The Wi-Fi works well enough for casual browsing while you lounge by the sea.
