This is a 4K walking tour of Sofia, Bulgaria, during the Book Alley, when more than 150 publishers set up tents from the NDK park all the way up Vitosha Boulevard. It happens once a year in early September, and the center fills with people browsing books.

The walk starts at the NDK fountains and follows the tent rows through the park – children’s publishers, board games, and an art stall with paintings of Plovdiv’s Old Town. Then it’s up Vitosha Boulevard, stall after stall between the cafe terraces, with the Ciela tent drawing the biggest crowd.

Past the Palace of Justice and its lions, the route reaches Sveta Nedelya Square and the cathedral, then Saborna Street, where the 4th-century Rotunda of St George appears through a passage. From there it’s the City Garden and the Ivan Vazov National Theatre.

The last stretch follows Rakovski Street, Sofia’s theatre street, to Slaveykov Square and its bench statue of the poets Petko and Pencho Slaveykov, then ends among the trams on Graf Ignatiev Street.
